Who we are?
The lay partners of the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (popularly known as Baclaran Church) are mainly the lay people who actively participate in the shrine’s ministries and mission together with the Redemptorist priests.
Lay Missionary
considered active co-workers in evangelization and shrine ministries. They are deeply involved not only in administration and volunteer work, but also in community building and pastoral mission.
Shrine Staff
The shrine is supported by dedicated full-time and part-time staff who faithfully serve behind the scenes. Their commitment sustains the ministries, daily operations, and welcoming spirit of the National Shrine.
Volunteers
Hundreds of volunteers help in the different ministries and outreach programs of the shrine. Their service reflects devotion, compassion, and a shared mission of bringing hope and faith to the community.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion assist priests and deacons in administering Holy Communion.
Ministry of Lector, Commentator, and Psalmist
The Lector is instituted to proclaim the readings from Scripture, with the exception of the Gospel.
Ministry of Ushers and Greeters
Ushers are friendly people who welcome all ages and nationalities as they enter the shrine.
Redemptorist Music Ministry
The choir leads the assembly in lively and beautiful singing and playing of liturgical music, giving praise to God.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help Altar Servers
An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell, and more.
Ministry of Collectors
Collectors go around the assembly during Masses and novena to collect the people's contributions to the shrine.
Social Communications and Media Ministry
Multimedia volunteers operate the presentation for the TV monitors during Masses and novena.
Redemptorist Children's Committee
Children ministers are catechists and facilitators of children’s activities, helping nurture their faith.
Redemptorist Youth Mission
Youth volunteers facilitate the shrine's program for the youth, fostering leadership and service.
Mother Butler Guild
The Mother Butler Guild helps prepare the vestments, linens, bread, and wine before every Mass.
