The Church's architecture is Modern Romanesque. Designed by Cesar Concio and Jesse Bontoc, the structure balances modernity with timeless devotion. Due to airport regulations, the shrine could not have a tall tower—but its interior architecture was carefully planned to “pray with the people.”

The original icon enshrined above the main altar came from Germany. It passed through Ireland and Australia before reaching Baclaran in 1906.
